REACH implementation

CEMBUREAU represents cement manufacturers in 28 European countries. One of its tasks is to give cement companies guidance on the implementation of EU legislation. As the new European chemicals regulation, REACH, is a rather complex piece of legislation. At CEMBUREAU's request Cimeurope created a REACH implementation website, focussing on the REACH requirements specific to the cement industry.

Access to the REACH implementation site is available to all persons interested for an annual subscription rate of €1,000 (excl. VAT). Please complete and return this form. Upon receipt of your payment, you will receive your username and password.

REACH Third Party Representation services

The third party representation service is offered by Cimeurope to all cement companies (legal entities).

The aims of this service are to

  • Keep confidential the identity of the legal entity and information provided by the legal entity during the pre-SIEF discussions and;
  • Coordinate the pre-SIEF process with other involved potential registrants.

The service package includes:

  • Representation of the legal entity during pre-SIEF discussions for substances described in the service agreement with other pre-registrants.
  • Communications with other potential registrants.
  • Exchange of information from the pre-SIEF, collection of feedback from the legal entity, responding to requests from other pre-registrants, coordination with other cement companies and their suppliers.
  • Representing the legal entity in discussions on sameness of substance within the framework of pre-SIEF formation.
  • Representing the legal entity in preparatory discussions with other pre-registrants, in case registration of the substance is necessary.
  • Represent the legal entity in pre-SIEF negotiations on cost sharing agreements and working arrangements for SIEF.

Any third party services following the SIEF formation, including preparations for the registration of a substance or further services for the purposes of REACH compliance, are outside the scope of the Services Agreement.

The fee for this package will be €1,500 (Excluding VAT) per legal entity and per substance.
  • €1,500 for a company with a VAT number established in a European Country (excl. France) or a company established in a non-EU country
  • €1,794 for a company established in France or a company/person without VAT number

Upon receipt of the signed Services Agreement by fax, the legal entity will receive the Cimeurope UUID. The UUID is the code which pre-registrants need to fill-in in REACH-IT when using a third party representative.

Upon receipt of the payment, the legal entity will receive an invoice from Cimeurope indicating payment of fee.
